    Great

Lovely soft yarn. I bought one skein to try and made a lovely Sophie scarf.

    Malabrigo Silky Merino - A Bit More-ish!

I loved using this beautiful, lustrus yarn as part of a wrap project that kept growing! Each Woolstack order came quickly, cleverly vacuum-packed for easy letterbox delivery. A special shout out to Lisa for picking out the perfect skein to finish the project- thank you!.

Description

This delightfully drapey favourite combines 50% silk and 50% merino into a single-ply DK yarn that is an absolute treat to knit and a joy to wear. The combination is soft, smooth, and itch-free even on the most sensitive skin- absolutely wonderful for garments, scarves, and other next-to-your-skin items. The silk content gives the yarn a bit more weight and drape than a pure merino, and a slight sheen that is absolutely gorgeous. The fibres take dye a little differently, adding extra depth to the wide selection of semi-solid, variegated, and watercolour-multi colourways available.

Great for: Accessories, shawls, garments, cables, colourwork, textured stitches, lace.

Yarn Weight:   DK
Blend:   51% Silk 49% Merino
Ball Weight:   50g
Length:   137m (150 yards)
Needle Size:   3.5mm (US 4, UK 9) - 4mm (US 6, UK 8)
Tension:   22-24 stitches to 10cm/4"
Care Instructions:   Hand wash in cold water - dry flat

Note: Malabrigo comes in small dye lots so please be sure to buy enough yarn for your project. As with any hand dyed yarn, there can be significant shade differences between skeins, even within a dye lot, so we recommend that you alternate skeins every few rows to prevent striping.
