Mechita ochre
It would be a nice wool if the colour was not bleeding, which discoloured the rest of my knitting. So, never mix it with other colours.

I first tried Malabrigo yarns with their Washted yarn, and fell in love with the beautiful colour and texture of the yarn. When it came to a lighter weight project, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the mechita yarn was the perfect gauge. I bought the "frank ochre" colourway (great name), and it's a stunning chartreuse type yellow - really rich and warm in the sunlight and a little more complex and natural-toned in the shade. I love it. To work with it was soft and spongey, and felt great on the needles. No splitting at all, and because it's single ply the stitch definition has been beautiful.

Mechita is the fingering-weight verion of Malabrigo's beautifully dyed single plyed superwash Mecha yarn. Just as soft and rich as the original, but great for lighter projects!
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag of 5 skeins is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. To ensure random colour distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
Great for: Shawls, scarves, garments, accessories, baby and children's items, cables, textured stitches.
