Good quality needles easy to use with my arthritic hands

Knitting lace using fine yarn, my selection choices in needles are based around • good points with firm, light weight shanks, • a good light/dark contrast between yarn & needle (issues with cataracts) and • smooth finish to the surface of the needle. As a devotee of KnitPro Symphonie needles, this means 25cm single point needles in the finer range (2-2.75mm) are just not available. Bamboo equivalents are not an option to knit with being too flexible. It was with a measure of uncertainty that I purchased a pair of 2.5mm KnitPro Karbonz 25cm needles to try them out – the dark shank of the needle being of most concern. They sat idle for several months before use but proved so good when the time came that I purchased 3 more sets to complete the entire 2-2.75mm range. The dark colour (appearing black in the graphics) is actually charcoal grey & proves a sufficient contrast even for a dark plum hue so those fears have been allayed. I am currently using the 2mm needles with a 2/70nM yarn & the needles are delivering ‘in spades’ in terms of knitter satisfaction. The points are ‘satin smooth’ for the entire tip, the transition from brass tip to carbon fibre is ‘smooth as’ and the shanks are comfortably rigid for such a fine needle. I could not ask for more - one very happy customer - indeed value for money.

Excellent service
Knitting with small needles is hard when your tension is tight; I soon bend other metal needles, and quickly break or splinter bamboo and plastics. Paying more for Karbonz is paying for the virtually unbreakable durability of a carbon-fibre core: a much reduced need to replace. Karbonz are also light-weight, well-balanced, feel warm and don't irritate others nearby with as many loud clicks. Recommended to me a few months ago, I will not use another needle again.
Excellent quality and perfect for knitting with light coloured wool. I am partially sighted and these are a dream to use.
Well I can honestly say these KnitPro Karbonz are extremely light and comfy to knit with. I love them! I recommend these if you want something light, smooth and comfortable and not cold (like the metal needles). These are worth the extra. I bought two pairs of these in different sizes and I also purchased a double point set, which I have not used just yet but know they will be just as brilliant.
I love these needles, my absolute favourites are Knit Pro Nova metal but I can't use those cos of a nickel allergy, these are just as lovely, nice pointy points, light to use and good seeing stitches cos of the contrast in colour. The nickel points are'nt giving me a problem.
I have knitpro wooden needles which I love to knit with. Needed finer sizes, purchased these and back to woolstack to order more sizes. The 25cm length is perfect for me to work comfortably and the lightness of the needles is remarkable without feeling flimsy. I have problems with my hands/fingers yet have knit for a few hours and could keep going. Excellent purchase - super fast delivery from woolstack
These look as nice as they are to use just wish they came in larger sizes as well
These are the new KARBONZ needles from KnitPro. These high-tech needles are made from carbon fibre with tips in nickel plated brass. The carbon fibre provides a lightweight, warm, flexible and strong needle with a smooth surface, while the nickel plated points are flawlessly tapered. This makes them ideal for all types of yarn and for every project.
They range in size from 2mm up to 6mm - please select your choice above.
