I've bought a few sets of the needles and cables and I love them but the shortest cable isn't much use for anything, even on the short needles there's not enough room to purl and no flexibility at all. I wouldn't recommend anything shorter than the 28cm length, designed to be 50cm when attached.

Excellent quality, service and value
My DiL had these on her Amazon wishlist but were unavailable from several places including them. This was an over and above present along with another Scandi pattern book - this is a different style of knitting for her and she's doing very well. Only problem her circulars were too long and she's now investing in interchangeable lengths. So I got her this one and another shorter one so she had the choice. as a knitter I had a good look before sending them of to her - very good quality. They arrived quickly to France - overall I was very pleased, as was she when she opened them on Christmas morning.
Good idea to make them in different colours. Now it's just up to me to remember what is what. But I made pouches with the size on as well.

Love the different colour for each length,. Don't coil up when in use.

** If using the 40cm cable it is recommended to use the short KnitPro needle tips. Using standard length tips will make the length from tip-to-tip approximately 46cm, but will also limit the angle you can get between the tips and may make knitting very awkward.
