I'll admit, I haven't tried a great array of stitch markers, in fact I have only really used this specific type. However, of the other brands that use this type of locking style stitch marker, the HiyaHiya ones are superior. They are definitely a durable, quality product. They aren't stiff like other brands are and I love the pretty selection of colours!
I probably shouldn't buy plastic things but these are very light and handy but work really well.
