Ideal for thinner yarns
I find these much better to use than safety pins which I had been using previously, especially useful for keeping my crochet stitch on when not working the fabric.

I bought these because I find the plastic ones too bulky with lace weight yarn and I didn't want anything that could catch on the work. These do work very well but I do think they are pricey for bits of coloured metal compared to standard safety pins for instance. Hence the loss of 1 star.
