Christmas 2024 Latest Posting Times
Posted by Kevin on 9th Nov 2024
Royal Mail have released their recommended latest Christmas Posting dates for 2024.
At Woolstack we always aim to dispatch your orders quickly - normally the same or next working day. We then rely on Royal Mail and others to actually deliver your package safely and quickly to you.
In the lead up to Christmas the postal services come under lots more pressure and we always see many more packages taking longer than normal to arrive.
The good news is that there is no noticeable increase in the number of lost packages (which is a vanishingly small number at all times). We normally notice that the postal services give things an extra push to try and clear everything through before the big day.
However, you can be waiting days longer (or even weeks to some overseas destinations) - not great when you're trying to get things ready for Christmas!
While these are Royal Mail's recommended dates, they don't guarantee delivery - so we always recommend ordering early and not leaving it to the last minute.
Order No Later Than | Service & Destination |
---|---|
Mon 2 December | (Standard Postal Service) Africa, Asia, Australia, Caribbean, Central and South America, China, Far and Middle East, and New Zealand, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, and Spain |
Wed 4 December | (Standard Postal Service) All other International destinations |
Thu 5 December | (Tracked Services Only) Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UAE |
Thu 12 December | (Tracked Services Only) All other International destinations |

Thu 19 December | (Royal Mail 24 / Royal Mail Tracked 48 / Royal Mail Tracked 24) UK |
Sun 22 December | UK - contact us |
At risk of repeating, these are recommended last order dates. Based on our past experience with postal services worldwide some sent on these days will not arrive by Christmas. We will dispatch your order as quickly as we can, but then it's in the hands of Royal Mail, your local postal services and customs.
So, please, don't delay!
Any questions, please just get in contact - email is best. Hope you have a great Christmas!
